GM is prepared to bring their Chevy Silverado Hybrid Heavy Duty Crew Cab to this months LA Auto Show. This will make the 4th model under the GM umbrella to be equipped with their Mode 2 Hybrid drive system after a considerable investment in time and money into its Research & Development. The first to receive the Mode 2 treatment were the GMC Yukon and Chevy Tahoe and then came the Cadillac Escalade. Now the Chevy Silverado Hybrid Heavy Duty Crew Cab joins the Mode 2 family as GM looks for the best means to make a return on their investment.
Filling in on the Silverado Hybird is a 6.0L V8 paired that when paired with the Mode 2 Hybrid drive system achieves a 40% fuel mileage increase in city driving and a 25% fuel mileage increase in highway driving. (more…)
